Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I'm hoping to try this one out again, although I also have the sequel that may help with some of the initial solo concerns. It's been a long time since I last played, yet I have some good memories. Hope you continue to enjoy playing the game!

I really like games that utilize dice. As soon as I saw that Tidal Blades had some cool looking dice, I was in. Playing around the board is attractive, especially knowing that you have to go to certain spots to complete challenges for points, it makes you have to move and try to accomplish them. I don't really like the amount of turns that you get, because I feel like it takes forever to get what you need to accomplish the goals, but I understand that balance would thrown out of whack if you start to get too many turns as well. Overall, I like that each character gets different abilities in their Synergy cards. This makes it a little more character driven in what you are able to accomplish. And the solo mode in this game can be so brutal. I lost my first 2 games. The solo mode is good! Once I got better at it, a 3 player game felt ok, but nothing like being rushed by someone else to complete goals and objectives. Overall, I love the world of Tidal Blades and this game was great for getting you into it. I just wish that you could do more in your turns. I always feel like if I could just get one more action, I could set up for something big! And getting more dice is what I always want to do! But, that's how these games usually go.
I really enjoyed your review!
