February 2026 Solo Games Review: Ratings, Awards, and More

Mar 6, 2026 | Reviews | 0 comments

Look back at the highlights from memorable solo games and the lessons to carry forward in this review of February 2026.

As usual for this year, I rolled into March a little slowly… But time to look back at my solo games from last month! It was one of the quietest months, yet I still had a great time. Let’s just say that March is looking like it will be packed with an uptick in plays and posts, so prepare yourself. I’m having a great time getting back into playing lots of solo games!

A Look at the Ratings

With a small number of games played, the ratings might not tell all that much, although I still find this system useful for me. It’s old and flawed, yet I know all of its quirks!

Anything in the 70s is a good game, the 80s is my general threshold for a great game, and cracking into the 90s is a difficult feat reserved for the games I tend to love.

Each year, there are usually a few points when I think of starting over and using a new rating system… But not today!

Despite it having some rough edges, the consistency is what makes it work so well for me in understanding my games.

The Award Goes To…

Offer a small list of nominees, and it’s another month where every game is a winner! Which I honestly don’t mind, as these categories have their own unique memories.

Looking back at photos and posts reminds me of the fun I had, and those excellent moments came flooding back to me. That’s an award-winning outing when it happens!

I also enjoy handing out awards based on the fun, rather than only looking at the numerical ratings. There’s more.

While I find my awards to be more interesting during very active months, there’s something to be said for a short list!

Monthly Highlights

I made it through multiple campaigns! The finale of Roll Player Adventures wasn’t my favorite, yet I still made it through and felt like I accomplished a lot in my story.

Cozy Stickerville was completed not once, but twice… Including a campaign I finished in a single day! Productive!

It was fun to laugh about some of my decisions, yet recycling a completed legacy game was a little sad. And not to sound negative, yet I barely remember anything.

Finally, taking a chance on Daydream was worth it. I had such a great time, and still have many modes to explore!

Lessons of the Month

Getting new games to my table is quite fun, even if that’s not always possible. It was lovely to bring some new arrivals straight to my solo table so I could preserve the excitement!

At the same time, I continue to get better about my tastes. If I don’t like stickers but see the word cozy in the title, I’m probably fine to keep moving so I play what I’ll enjoy.

Campaigns are also possible to complete, and I don’t have to shy away from some of the larger ones to reach the ending.

If anything, I’m interested in going back through some older games and re-discovering what I loved about them!

What happened with your solo games in February 2026? Do you have a quiet month with little to no play every now and then? I’m definitely ramping back up with my plays, so this will likely be a much more packed monthly review for March. Yet sometimes, taking it slowly provides a little rest from a flurry of activity… That’s quite clear for me already. Ha ha!
